How it selects: for each instrument type there is one deciding quantity, which the tool
calculates from the installation instead of assuming it: the test voltage for insulation follows
from the rated voltage of the object and its type; the resolution of the loop tester, from the protective device
that must trip; the measuring current of the micro-ohmmeter, from the expected resistance; the
spatial resolution of the camera, from the distance and the detail. Among the instruments that cover
everything, the one that comes with exactly the right accessory is proposed, and the reason is explained.
